2016 Polocrosse calendar unveiled
The Northern Territory Polocrosse Association has finalised the 2016 calendar with an exciting line up of events throughout the year.
The NT season kicks off with a large number of players travelling to Albury in NSW to compete in the Australian Polocrosse Nationals. This event is held every two years and in a different state each time with the most recent event held in the Northern Territory in 2014.
Nicky McMaster, Manager NT Men’s team says all players and horses have been training hard in preparation for this event over the past few months.
“The wet season is probably the hardest time of the year to be preparing for such a large event, so it will be great to see all the hard work pay off,” Nicky said.
Following on from the Nationals, the season starts with a display tournament including a come and try day at the Fred’s Pass Show on 14 & 15 April.
Each club hosts two tournaments each throughout the year at their home grounds of either Fred’s Pass Reserve or Robbie Robbins Reserve so there are some great opportunities for players and spectators to come and experience this great sport.
Tournaments and feature display matches are also held at Adelaide River Show, Katherine Show and Darwin Show.
